Greenhills Adventure Park

Need to find a place to have some fun, in South Australia. Well "Green hills Adventure Park, is the place to be. A great place for the whole family to enjoy, a day out.

What wonderful things they have to try and it is all experienced, in the great outdoors. This park was designed, so that people could be at one with nature. At the same time, experience all the fun you can.

First let us take a look, at the petrol powered four wheel bikes. These are designed for children aged between 6 and 9 years old. A huge track has been established, with twists and turns that your child will get a thrill out of. Rubber tyres have been carefully placed around the edges, so the children can not cut lanes and bump in to others.

These bikes never went faster then 10km per hour. The children are required to wear helmets, for their own safety. Of course, mum and dad feel much happier then also!

Up next, is the wonderful bmx bike track. Spreading through tall gum trees, over hills, small jumps and huge winding turns. This is a great way for any child to have fun. My son went on these two or three times, while we were there. Many choices of bikes and helmets. the children will have a ball.

Across from the bike track, is a winding lake. By the lakeside, is a wide selection of water bikes. This is tremendous fun but does require a bit of leg strength. I witnessed heaps of young children on them, who got stuck half way down the river! Their poor little legs just burnt out from pedaling. Those who went on with a parent, had a much better time.

Canoeing is also available on the lake. Like the water bikes, it does require some strength but in your arms. I was out of that one, i am not very strong in the arms!

By now, you are all probably extremely hungry. Over near the kiosk, there are many picnic tables. Barbeque's are also available to use. I suggest bringing a packed lunch and enjoying the family time together. The birds all come over to say hello, thinking they might get a treat thrown to them - so cute. Purchasing a big lunch for a family, can get very expensive. The children will nag you to go to the kiosk. Keep them happy and tell them yes, just for an ice cream after lunch.

There are so many fun things to do, at "Green hills", you just have to decide where to start. Besides the entertainment, i have already mentioned. There is a giant sized balloon, dug in to the ground and square shaped. They inflate it and it becomes all bouncy like a trampoline. The way they have set it up, makes it very safe. A few feet away, is a huge wooden maze. Managed to get lost in there, for quite a while!

The park has an outstanding archery course, that is very popular. A water slide and mini pool, great fun. They also have a train, which will take you on a tour of the whole park. Can't go past the ever popular go karts, naturally for the adults! I personally had a ball on the go karts, trying to beat my husband and i did.

Overall, it is a great place to relax if you feel like it or run around and have a go, at everything! Nature, fun, family and friends, what more could a person want in a day - perfect!
